Strengthening awareness, building global partnerships and protecting the future of antibiotics.

Dear colleagues, partners, and supporters,

It is with great pleasure that we share a brief update on the progress made by The Global Antibiotics Resistance Foundation over the past months. Our efforts to advance antimicrobial resistance awareness (AMR) and antibiotic stewardship continue to grow across regions, platforms, and communities.

World AMR Awareness Week (WAAW) 2025

We successfully produced and released a dedicated WAAW 2025 awareness video, now available on our social media platforms, including LinkedIn and Twitter.  The video focuses on the choices we make daily that impact the spread of antibiotic resistant bacteria and the steps you can take at home to contribute to Antimicrobial Resistance Stewardship.

Free AMR Educational Content Distributed to African Students

TGARF remains committed to providing equitable access to knowledge.  We offered free educational AMR materials to students across Africa to support learning, awareness, and capacity building in regions heavily impacted by antibiotic resistance.

New Blogs & Articles Published

Our team has published several new blogs, commentaries, and educational articles on AMR, stewardship practices, and global health challenges.  These are available on our website and continue to be shared widely across our communication channels.

Strengthening Patient-Experience Collaborations

We are in active discussions with Dutch and African partners to explore collaboration opportunities focusing on patient experiences with antibiotic-resistant infections.  Amplifying patient voices remains a central pillar of our global awareness mission.

AMR Web-Event

TGARF is currently holding discussions with African stakeholders, and we hope similar progress is underway in India to organise a future international AMR web event jointly.  The goal is to create a shared knowledge space featuring Indian and African experts, students, patients, and advocates.

TGARF Begins Engagement on Quora

To expand our public outreach, TGARF has begun establishing a presence on Quora, exploring how the platform can serve as a tool for education, public dialogue, and global awareness on AMR.

Moving Forward

As antimicrobial resistance continues to threaten global health security, TGARF remains committed to:

  • Sharing accurate and accessible information
  • amplifying patient voices
  • supporting stewardship efforts
  • building bridges across continents
  • empowering students and young professionals
  • strengthening the global AMR conversation

We thank you for your continued support and look forward to sharing more updates in the coming months.

With warm regards,
TGARF Team
